Because fewer people take it, it seems the course content is way more random. For instance, I remember my lecturer introduced partial derivatives in one section, normally a topic introduced in math 241.Terence is one of my favorite math professors at UMD. He explains concepts very well in a straightforward but easy to understand way and is accommodating to questions during lecture. He's laid back and reasonable with his expectations, overall a nice guy. Only downfall was that he could be hard to get in touch with outside of class or office hours.

You learn the basic fundamentals for five weeks, take a placement exam & if you pass, it leads directly into MATH115 with the same professor. Only drawback is that it meets 5 days a week, but since you’re not the best at math right now, it may help you.
