The National Museum of Women in the Arts reopens October 21, 2023, at 1250 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. “Remix: The Collection” is on view October 21, 2023–October 21, 2025.Founded by collectors Wilhelmina Cole Holladay and Wallace F. Holladay, her husband, in 1981, it was the first museum of its kind in the world. By the 21st century the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) was housing a collection of about 6,000 works dating from the Renaissance to the present by female, transgender, and nonbinary artists. Applicants may apply for up to three internships per session. A separate electronic application is required for each position. Only applications submitted via our online form will be considered. To apply, submit an electronic application. You do not need to provide a cover letter, instead please insert a two-page writing sample of your choice.
